Education and Training
Aisling Buckley graduated with honours in medicine and completed specialist training in anaesthesia in Ireland. Following relocation to Melbourne she completed sub-speciality fellowships both in high risk obstetric anaesthesia at The Royal Women’s Hospital Melbourne and in ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and was awarded fellowship of The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
Areas of specialisation
She holds a full time staff specialist appointment at Austin Health where she has a broad range of anaesthesia practice including anaesthesia for ENT, general, thoracics, neurosurgery, ophthalmic and orthopaedic surgery. She works in private practice in obstetric anaesthesia including Epworth Freemasons and St Vincent’s Private hospital network.
She has published in peer reviewed journals and has an interest in education through her role as ANZCA supervisor of training, clinical lecturing with the University of Melbourne and delivery of simulation training at Austin Health.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her 3 young children.
