Dr Andrew Walpole MBBS, FANZCA, Dip Medical Hypnosis
I graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1979 and did my fellowship at Southend-On-Sea, Essex, UK and in Perth, WA. I hold a Diploma of Medical Hypnosis. I am currently the Deputy Director of Anaesthesia at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
I have a special interest in anaesthesia for ear, nose and throat surgery. At the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital I am involved in developing clinical decision support systems.
I am mindful that while I am involved with anaesthesia every day, for individual patients it is embarked upon with fear and foreboding. It is my intention to try and turn this into a more positive experience.
