Dr Daniel Wong MBBS, FANZCA
After graduating from Medicine at Melbourne University I completed most of my anaesthesia training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. In 2005, I spent a year working as a neuroanaesthesia fellow in Toronto, Canada, adding to my experience in anaesthesia for brain and spine surgery. I have a special interest in using nerve blocks to reduce pain after operations (for limb surgery) and epidural anaesthesia for obstetric patients. I also have a research interest in nerve block anaesthesia and regularly demonstrate at national conferences.
I have published a textbook chapter in neuroanaesthesia and have several publications in research journals in the areas of airway management and ultrasound-guided nerve block anaesthesia. I currently work in private practice and as a consultant anaesthetist at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.
